If so, you’re not alone.  Often the very things that draw people to their partners, are the very things that over time drive them crazy.

And it is common for partners to fall into fighting styles that cause both to quickly move to a “fight or flight” response.  When people are in this mode, it is extremely difficult to think rationally and to have empathy for the other person.  Consequently, partners end up re-wounding each other over and over.

I work with couples to help them get unstuck from their non-constructive patterns of dealing with conflict.  Using techniques that foster insight, empathy and behavioral change, I help couples achieve genuine intimacy, a state in which each individual feels respected and cherished.
